Necessary tests and scans could be ordered and in your chart asap. It took me two weeks just to get an MRCP ordered and a week to actually get the appointment. I had to cancel that as I ended up in the hospital with SEPSIS. I WILL say that Dr Abadir is very thorough when going over any scans you were able to get done.

Response from the owner:Thank you. It’s our pleasure to care for you

Hi, my name is Dr. Amir Abadir, and I’m a gastroenterologist here at the Center for Digestive Health. Well, I chose gastroenterology, really late in college when I took a year to do some research in that field. We ended up doing some work on pancreatic hormones and published a paper. And you know, that was sort of what started my interest in gastroenterology, and I got more interested in it in medical school as I learned more about it.

Best advice for patients is, like we always say prevention is the best medicine. Try not to ignore symptoms even if they seem mild, or not that bothersome. It never hurts to come see your doctor. Talk about it. See if anything needs to be done. At best, we’ll put your mind at ease. At worst, we’ll figure out what’s going on and get you to feel better.

Many times patients can feel apprehensive about coming in to see the doctor. They’re worried about what tests they’re going to do, what complications they may have. It’s important to get checked out by your doctor. We’re going to take good care of you from beginning to end. We always have your best interests at heart. There’s nothing you can’t talk to us about, tell us about, questions, concerns. We’re here ready to listen, and we’re here to advocate for you and for your health to keep you healthy and well, as long as we can.
