John R. Weber, MD

JOHN R. WEBER, MD is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Weber joined the group in 1997 from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he was Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology. Dr. Weber received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota and did three years of Gastroenterology Fellowship Training at UCSF. He was a member of the faculty at UCSF from 1992-1997. He also served as an Honorary Consultant in Gastroenterology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in Liverpool, England. Dr. Weber has been active in clinical teaching and the National Institute of Health research. He is currently on the medical staff at William Beaumont Hospital and is an Assistant Professor at the Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) School of Medicine. Dr. Weber serves on various committees, including Beaumont’s Digestive Health Center of Excellence, and is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS). His clinical interests include esophageal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening, and diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy.
